Protools Online Course Description (101)

The Pro Tools Course is a four-week run through of Pro Tools that covers the basics of operating a Digidesign Pro Tools System. The course contains tutorials, movies and downloadable exercise session files which can be opened in every Pro Tools version up to version 8.

Course Prerequisites

You should have a basic understanding of computers and operations such as:

• boot a computer
• using a mouse, menus and keyboard commands
• general handling with files and folders

You should be familiar with basic audio concepts and tools as:

• recording Techniques (connecting devices and level settings)
• basics of analog mixer signal flow
• setting up and operating equipments (audio monitoring, MIDI keyboards)
• basics of analog and digital audio
